3. Feed the bees

Bees need nourishment. Again, they're no different from your pets that you have to attend to from time to time. Caring for bees is somewhere between caring for a dog and a cat. It doesn't need everyday attention like a dog but you need to mind them more frequently that a cat.

4. Maintain the hive

There are things that you have to do in order to keep the season good for your bees. Aside from feeding them, you need to do things such as add room to the hive, re-queen for expanding, and check regularly for bee illnesses. You also have to prepare the colony for the winter season.

5. Collect the crops

After a good season of keeping the hive, your bees should be able to produce good amounts of honey. This is where all your hard work pays off. While you may not get filthy rich keeping bees in your backyard, harvesting honey is always something to look forward to. Every hive is a fascination because it inspires art, botany, and photography in all its simplicity.
